This question was asked by a reader recently and I think it would be a good idea to share the fix!

The Fix:

1: Lock your Versa with your remote by pressing the lock button

2: Press and Hold the Unlock + Lock button together until you hear your Versa go “Beep”.

That’s it! If you want to switch the beep OFF, just follow those two steps!

NOTE: This fix also works with some other Nissan vehicles (not too sure which models) but there are many! Give it a shot!

Your possible problem?

Evaporator.

I’ve seen this many times over and is a very common problem with the 2007-2008 Versa. A leak is formed at the Evaporator. The evaporator is located underneath the passenger front dash and requires extensive removal of dash/center console parts.

leaking evaporator, how to remove versa evaporator, nissan versa

Note: Visually check all A/C components in the engine area for a green colored liquid. This is the factory dye that is placed in the Air Conditioning “freon” gas/oil combination to help detect leaks. If no leaks are found and freon level is less than 1.10 lbs, then it’s a good guess that the evaporator is the source of the problem.

Another common problem with Canadian model Versa is DTRL (day time running light)/Headlight not working, either on both sides or one side (usually the right not working).

Tried a light bulb and still isn’t fixed? I’ve got the solution!

Circled in green is the placement of the two DTRL relays that malfunctions. A blue and a black one.

If only one side of your headlights isn’t working, replace the blue one.
If both aren’t working, replace the black one.

Sometimes you may have to replace both.

Viola, you’re lights should be up and running again!
